Rosfinmonitoring has added Pavel Kosolapov, who was involved in the bombing of the Nevsky Express train in 2007, to the list of terrorists and extremists. Information about this follows from the updated December 4 database of the agency.

It is specified that Kosolapov is a native of Bolshoi Serafimovichi district of Volgograd region.

The train "Nevsky Express" from Moscow to St. Petersburg was blown up by Kosolapov near Malaya Vishera on August 13, 2007. As a result of the incident 60 people were injured, 30 people were hospitalized.

Kosolapov also enlisted Chechen-born Salambek Dzakhkiev, the Khidriyev brothers, Maksharip and Amirkhan, in preparing the attack. In the fall of 2007, Dzakhkiev and Khidriyev were detained and found guilty under Article 222 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Illegal trafficking in explosives by an organized group"). The court sentenced Khidriev to four years' imprisonment in a general regime colony. Dzakkiev received 10 years in a strict regime colony.
