Bennett's kangaroos met winter and the first snow in the Leningrad Zoo. About how it happened, December 4 told in the Telegram-channel of the institution.

"Bennett's kangaroos meet the first snow. Has winter finally arrived? Our kangaroos are definitely happy about this event. Look with what pleasure they eat icy leaves," - noted in the message.

The zoo emphasized that the natural habitat of this species of kangaroo is the south of Australia, however, there is also cold weather.

The Leningrad Zoo is one of the oldest zoos in Russia. It started its work back in 1865. The zoo survived the revolution and the blockade of Leningrad. Now the Leningrad Zoo is home to about 600 species of mammals, birds, fish and invertebrates from different parts of the world.

Earlier, on December 3, the Malayan bear in the Moscow Zoo moved into a new enclosure. In this room there is more space for games and further development of the animal. Tiering was equipped there, so that the bear has an opportunity to practice and improve her climbing skills.
