The AFU lost more than 280 soldiers on the Kursk direction over the day


The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have lost more than 280 military personnel over the day. This was reported in the Russian Defense Ministry on December 4.
"Over the day the losses of the AFU amounted to more than 280 servicemen. A tank, two armored combat vehicles, three vehicles, an electronic warfare station and two mortars were destroyed," the Defense Ministry said.
In addition, by air strikes the Russian Armed Forces (AF) hit enemy manpower and equipment in the areas of the settlements of Kurilovka, Nizhny Klin, Novaya Sorochina, Suja and Cherkasskoye Porechnoye, as well as Basovka, Belovody, Veselovka, Vodolagi, Zhuravka, Miropolye in Sumy region.
In total, during the fighting in the Kursk direction, the Ukrainian army lost more than 37,935 military personnel.
Earlier, on December 1, the Russian Defense Ministry showed footage of crews of Su-35S fighter jets of the Russian Air and Space Forces (AFS) performing combat duty in the border area of Kursk Region. During the mission, radiation from the enemy's air defense radar station was detected.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The operation to destroy the militants continues.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
