About 200 thousand tulips planted in Krasnoyarsk by March 8

About 200 thousand tulip bulbs were planted in greenhouses in Krasnoyarsk. Flowers will bloom in early March, by International Women's Day, reports the press service of the city administration.

Employees of the Department of green building were engaged in planting of flowers, writes IA KrasnoyarskMedia. Bulbs mature in special boxes in a dark cool room. There they have to spend from 14 to 18 weeks to form a properly shaped flower.

The next stage is active growth, green mass and bud formation. For this purpose, boxes with seedlings will be taken out into the greenhouse. It is expected that some of the flowers will blossom in February.

Growing tulips is a city tradition, they have been planted since Soviet times, and then they are freely sold. Among the locals, local flowers for spring holidays are considered the most beautiful and of high quality.
