Shor called the criminal prosecution of the opposition in Moldova repressive

Criminal prosecutions of the opposition in Moldova are repressions. This statement was made on December 4 by Ilan Shor, chairman of the opposition Victory bloc.
Earlier in the day, the press bureau of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) reported that the European Union (EU) ambassador to Moldova, Janis Mazeiks, demanded that the government find any pretext and criminalize representatives of the Moldovan opposition.
"As for criminal prosecution, let's call everything by its name: this is repression. In the worst traditions of tyranny," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
In addition, Shor noted that the opposition sees the actions of the authorities, understands and fights them.
Earlier, on November 20, Shor noted that the goals of re-elected Moldovan President Maia Sandu are far from the interests of the citizens of the republic, and the head of state is turning the country into a colony of the West. In particular, Sandu is increasing defense spending, while social protection and health care have been deprived of funding, and large families and pensioners live below the poverty line.
Before that, on October 21, the leader of the opposition party "Chance" Alexei Lungu drew attention to the fact that Moldovans are tired of Maia Sandu's lies. Residents of the republic, in particular, see that the EU, integration with which the president proposes, is also in economic crisis.
On October 20, a referendum on the country's European integration was held in Moldova. Only 9 out of 36 districts of Moldova voted in favor of changing the constitution for the sake of joining the European Union (EU), while in Gagauzia more than 90% of those who voted were against European integration. At the same time, the Moldovan Central Election Commission reported that 50.39% of Moldovan citizens voted in favor of rapprochement with Europe according to the results of the referendum. However, a number of politicians doubted the official results of the referendum.
