There was a technical failure at the Blagoveshchenskaya CHPP in the Amur Region, and because of this the region had to partially limit power consumption. This was reported by JSC Far East Generation Company (FEGC) on December 4.

"On December 4, 2024 at Blagoveshchenskaya CHPP there was a technological failure on the steam pipeline. There was no damage to the main equipment. To disconnect the damaged section of the steam pipeline it was necessary to shut down all operating boiler units and turbine units of the plant," - stated in a message on the company's website.

Employees of the station disconnected the defective section of the steam pipeline and began to start the main equipment.

The company added that the heating networks of Blagoveshchensk are now working, but at reduced parameters, reports "Gazeta.Ru".

The day before, December 3, in the residential complex "New Vnukovo" in New Moscow, the electricity was cut off. Residents of the complex told "Izvestia" that the temperature in the apartments became low. People were brought generators, thanks to which the light partially appeared, but the problem was not completely solved. In the management company "Airplane" reported that the power supply was lost due to an accident outside the housing estate.

Before that, on November 28, the Governor of Smolensk region Vasily Anokhin reported that 4 thousand subscribers in the region remain without electricity. He noted that the work to restore power supply in municipalities helped to return light to the homes of 15 thousand residents of the region and to eight schools in sparsely populated areas.
