On December 3, the Media Center hall of the Moscow Government Situation Center hosted an award ceremony for the winners of the city contest "Informing at First Hand".

This year the number of applications received for the contest has increased one and a half times. Alexander Naidanov, First Deputy Head of the Department of Territorial Executive Authorities of the city, noted that every corner of our metropolis is covered by journalists' attention. The publications tell about the life of the districts, address the global and citywide agenda.

Lyudmila Shcherbina, First Secretary of the Union of Journalists of Moscow, also noted that behind each publication there is a strong team. The publication "Vechernyaya Moskva" received several awards at once. The jury recognized the authors in different nominations. So, for the best author's publication about the life of the city among district newspapers was awarded to the newspaper "Moscow.Center" and correspondents Maryana Shevtsova, Nikita Mironov, Vasilisa Chernyavskaya and Kirill Topuria. The series of publications "Smart City" in the newspaper "Vechernyaya Moskva" was also honored. Diplomas in the nomination "The best author's publication about city life among federal and city newspapers" were awarded to Vasilisa Chernyavskaya, Grigory Sakhadzhi, Natalia Trostyanskaya and Maryana Shevtsova.

The Union of Journalists of Moscow awarded a diploma to the newspaper "Moskva.Center" for the high quality level of content among district newspapers. And in the nomination "The Best Internet Resource of the District Newspaper" the sites of the editions "Southern Horizons", "Moscow.Center" and "New Districts" were marked for active and high-quality content. Pelagia Zamyatina's photo "Tragedy in Crocus City Hall" published in the weekly issue of "VM" was recognized as the best photo about the life of the city among federal and municipal mass media.
