On December 5, the press center of the Izvestia International Exhibition Center hosts the awarding ceremony of the winners of the Russian Background Walking Championship "Man Walking".

The event is attended by Leo Bokeria, chief supernumerary cardiovascular surgeon of the Russian Ministry of Health, president of the Health League of the Nation, and Yuri Zinchenko, dean of the Faculty of Psychology at Moscow State University.

Winners will be announced in the main categories: municipal teams, corporate teams, retired teams, student teams, family teams and ZOZH groups. Special awards for unique achievements will also be presented.

Almost 83 thousand people from 80 regions of Russia took part in the 2024 Championship.

The project "Man Walking" is organized by the Health League of the Nation with the support of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation and is part of the federal project "Sport is the norm of life". Over the five years of its existence, it has become a symbol of mass support for a healthy lifestyle and active longevity.
