- In Novosibirsk, customs officers found a crocodile head in the possession of a passenger from Thailand

Novosibirsk customs officers found a dried crocodile head in a woman who flew in from Phuket. This was reported by the Federal Customs Service (FCS) on December 4.
"Derivative inspectors identified on the "green" corridor with the help of X-ray", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the FCS.
According to the woman, she purchased the item in one of the souvenir shops in Thailand and was not aware of the need to declare it and provide the relevant documents.
Experts have established that this is a real crocodile head, the species of which falls under the CITES Convention. In this regard, law enforcement authorities initiated two criminal cases - under Part 1 of Article 16.2 ("Non-declaration of goods") and Article 16.3 ("Non-compliance with prohibitions and restrictions"). The woman faces a fine.
In February in Moscow, a suitcase containing 25 decorative rats was found at the entrance of an apartment building. One of the police officers called the "Rat in Need" hotline and contacted the volunteers who took care of the animals.
