- The court recovered more than 14 billion rubles from Khotin, ex-owner of Yugra, following a lawsuit filed by Rosselkhozbank

Alexei Khotin, the former owner of Yugra Bank, has been charged more than 14 billion rubles on the claim of Rosselkhozbank. This was reported on December 4 in the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of Moscow.
"The decision of the Koptevsky district court of the city of Moscow on December 4, 2024 satisfied the claims of JSC "Russian Agricultural Bank" to Alexey Yurievich Khotin on the recovery of debt under loan agreements", - stated in the message of the press service in its Telegram-channel.
It is specified that the former owner of "Yugra" was charged a debt of 14,162,208,900.88 rubles and the state duty in the amount of 60 thousand rubles.
Earlier, on November 26, the beginning of bankruptcy proceedings Khotin was canceled by appeal. The ex-banker's lawyer Pavel Khlyustov told Izvestia that the defense's position here coincides with the opinion of the Prosecutor General's Office - the lawyers have always opposed the introduction of any bankruptcy procedure against the ex-owner of Yugra. The court sent the case for a new hearing.
In March, the Zamoskvoretsky court sentenced Khotin to nine years in prison. In addition, the former president of Yugra Alexei Nefedov then received 8.5 years of general regime colony, ex-chairman of the board Dmitry Shilyaev - eight years, ex-director of the Moscow branch Nina Chernova - six years.
The investigation believes that in 2014-2017, Khotin, Shilyaev, Nefedov and Chernova stole over 23 billion rubles by issuing knowingly non-performing loans to three companies controlled by Khotin. The ex-owner of Yugra appointed members of his organized crime group to senior positions at the bank in 2014. None of the defendants in the case pleaded guilty.
In 2017, the Russian Central Bank revoked Yugra 's banking license. A year later, the credit organization was declared bankrupt.
Before that, in May last year, the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow recovered more than 192 billion rubles from Khotin. In addition, the court ruled that the shares and 100% stakes in the authorized capitals of business entities belonging to the Rus-Oil group of companies should be returned to the state. Later, in June, the arbitration court recovered $115 million in damages from a number of the bank's ex-managers and from Khotin.
