The Syrian Armed Forces destroyed more than 1,600 terrorists in three days

More than 1.6 thousand militants have been destroyed by the Syrian armed forces since the beginning of the current week. This is reported in the Telegram channel of the General Directorate of Radio and Television of the Arab Republic (ORTAS) on December 4.

"The number of terrorists from "Jebhat al-Nusra" (terrorist organization banned in Russia. - Ed.) and other organizations destroyed this week <...> exceeded 1.6 thousand." - the message reads.

On the eve of the evening, the Syrian Defense Ministry reported that the country's army had established control over the city of Hama and began a mop-up operation against terrorists. The agency also denied reports of militants' infiltration into some neighborhoods.

Earlier, on December 2, Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian said during a telephone conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin that the activation of terrorists in Syria was part of the Israeli and US destabilization plan.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi on November 30 linked the activation of terrorists in Syria to US actions amid Israel's defeat in Lebanon. In turn, the White House denied its involvement in what is happening. In addition, Britain, the United States, France and Germany called on all parties in Syria to de-escalate.
