Court sentences Kerch resident to 15 years in prison in state treason case

The Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea has sentenced a 45-year-old resident of Kerch to 15 years in prison in a case of state treason. This was reported on December 4 in the press service of the republican Prosecutor's Office.

The court found that the man in September 2023 with the help of messenger sent a video with the coordinates of the location of air defense means of the Russian army in Kerch to a representative of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

"The court, taking into account the opinion of the state prosecutor sentenced the man to 15 years of imprisonment with serving the sentence in a penal colony of strict regime with further restriction of freedom for one year six months", - stated in the message of the Department in Telegram-channel.

Earlier, on November 18, the official representative of the Russian Federal Security Service's Directorate for the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) Oksana Semesenko reported about the detention of a resident of Mariupol for calls for violence against Russians in social networks. He repeatedly published in a publicly available chat room in one of the messengers calls to carry out violent actions against Russians. A case of state treason was opened against him on November 28. Investigators found that the man had repeatedly transferred money to accounts used to finance Ukrainian militants.
