American businessman Ilon Musk with irony reacted to the media data that the son of U.S. President Hunter Biden left outstanding debt of $ 300 thousand for rent. The entrepreneur posted a comment on this topic on December 4.

"The truth is stranger (and funnier) than fiction," Musk wrote on his page in the social network X (former Twitter).

Earlier on December 4, Sequoia fund manager Sean Maguire wrote that the son of current U.S. President Joe Biden, whose term expires in January, Hunter left an outstanding debt of $300 thousand for rent. Maguire added that Hunter offered to pay him allegedly with a piece of art, which in fact has no value.

Before that, on December 2, Biden made a decision to pardon his son Hunter. Reacting to his father's decision, Hunter Biden said he intends to devote his life to helping people with addictions.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, commenting on the president's decision, noted that the American leader will not seek the resignation of the attorney general, despite his opinion about the injustice in Hunter Biden's case. Jean-Pierre also pointed out that she did not see any contradictions in the words of the head of state.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called Hunter's pardon a caricature of democracy in a commentary for Izvestia. Americanist Malek Dudakov, speaking to Izvestia, also admitted that Biden might pardon his other relatives, such as his brother James. At the same time, he noted that this decision of the American leader sets a precedent: none of the US presidents had initiated pardons for their children before him.

In September, Hunter Biden pleaded guilty to nine counts of criminal charges of tax evasion, and in June - on three counts of weapons possession.
