- The Prosecutor General's Office recognized the American The Satanic Temple as an undesirable organization

The Prosecutor General's Office of Russia has recognized the activities of the international organization The Satanic Temple as undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation. This is reported on December 4 on the website of the agency.
"Participants [of the organization] are engaged in promoting occult ideology, use satanic symbols to discredit traditional spiritual and moral values. With the support of U.S. government agencies, they promote destructive pseudo-theological ideas and justify violence against people," the statement reads.
According to the agency, the structure also supports extremist and terrorist movements, speaks negatively about the special military operation, calls for the overthrow of the constitutional order in Russia and has posted on its website information about raising funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
It is noted that the goals stated in the organization's founding documents in the area of "fighting for justice and civil liberties" do not correspond to the NGO's real activities.
The inspection found that the organization was founded in the USA in 2012 by Harvard University graduates. It has 23 branches in America, Australia, Germany, Canada, Finland and other countries and over 10 million followers in the world.
Earlier, on October 31, the American Young Presidents Organization (YPO) was recognized as an undesirable organization in Russia. According to the GP, it was engaged in stimulating protest activity, promoting information pressure on Russia and the policies of unfriendly states.
