- NYT has learned of Rutte's call for Ukraine to postpone any talks with Russian Federation

NATO has suggested that Ukraine postpone any negotiations with Russia until it receives sufficient military assistance from Western countries. This is written by The New York Times with reference to the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance Mark Rutte.
"Ukraine should postpone any peace talks with Russia until Western allies provide enough military aid," the newspaper said in its publication on December 3.
It is specified that such a proposal was made to Kiev in order to strengthen Ukraine's position in future negotiations. At the same time, according to Rutte, the Ukrainian side itself should decide when it will be ready for negotiations,Gazeta.Ruadded.
Earlier, on 25 November, the future US presidential adviser on national security, Mike Walz, said that work on organizing negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict would begin in January.
On November 20, the Bloomberg news agency wrote that US President-elect Donald Trump might hold talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin on the Ukrainian conflict in the near future. The agency also suggested that incumbent U.S. President Joe Biden 's decision on Kiev's use of long-range weapons could serve as an attempt to spoil Trump's chances of resolving the Ukrainian crisis.
Putin named the conditions for negotiations on Ukraine back in June at a meeting with the leadership of the Russian Foreign Ministry. For example, Ukrainian troops should leave the territories of Russia's new regions, and Kiev should give up the idea of NATO integration.
