Rosgvardiya fighters held drills to neutralize AFU drones in the Kherson region

The Rosgvardiya military has conducted drone neutralization exercises of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Kherson Region. This was reported by the department's press service on December 4.

In the course of the exercise, the soldiers mastered the methods of destroying small and low-flying drones. They also studied the tactical characteristics of drones in service with the Ukrainian army.

"Thanks to thorough and comprehensive training, servicemen of the elite special forces units of the Rosgvardia in the area of the SSO with outstanding skill cope with any challenges posed to them by the harsh reality of the battlefield," - noted in the press service of the Rosgvardia.

Earlier, on November 16, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of intensive combat training and training of personnel of the volunteer unit "Bars-Belgorod" at the training ground.

On September 12, Deputy Defense Minister Colonel-General Yunus-Bek Yevkurov announced the beginning of the formation of the Bars unit in Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions bordering Ukraine. He specified that the units together with law enforcement agencies under the conditions of counter-terrorist operation regime (CTO) will be engaged in protection and defense of civil infrastructure facilities, fighting against drones and maintaining public order.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
