A court has arrested in Moscow a sales manager for nuts and fruit at the Fresh Nuts company who is accused of facilitating terrorist activity. This follows from official court documents.

"To elect the accused measure of restraint in the form of detention for two months, that is, until January 28, 2025," - quotes from the documents "RIA Novosti" on December 4.

It is specified that the criminal case on the involvement of people in terrorist activities (part 1.1 of article 205.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) was initiated on November 28. Law enforcement authorities insisted on the appointment of a measure of restraint in the form of detention for the man, citing the risk of his hiding from the investigation and the court, as well as the possibility of putting pressure on witnesses.

In contrast, the man's manager and lawyers argued for a more loyal preventive measure. They emphasized the court's attention to the health of their client and the lack of evidence of his guilt in committing the crime.

Earlier, on December 2, a local resident suspected of involvement in terrorist activities on behalf of the Ukrainian security services was detained in Transbaikalia. According to the agency, the 47-year-old man was a member of a banned terrorist group, condemned the actions of the Russian Armed Forces (AF) and called for a violent change in the constitutional order.
