In Novokuznetsk, 22 apartment buildings were left without water due to an accident

In Novokuznetsk, Kemerovo region, in Kuibyshevsky district due to a leakage of water from a water pipeline with a diameter of 700 mm, 22 apartment buildings and 2.2 thousand private homes, as well as social facilities were left without water. This was reported in the city administration on December 4.

It is reported that as a result of a communal accident was flooded roadway along the street Sibiryakov-Gvardeitsev.

"At present, emergency work is being carried out on the water pipeline. The nature of the damage is currently being established. 22 apartment buildings behind the station, 2,212 private houses in [the neighborhoods of] Tochilino and Redakovo, as well as social facilities have fallen into the cut-off zone," the city administration said in its Telegram channel.

According to the city administration, citing information provided by Vodokanal LLC, the emergency site has been localized and the flooded part of the road has been cleared. It is planned to complete the work on restoration of water supply on December 4 until 19:00. At the same time, water delivery is organized.

Earlier, on December 2, in Chelyabinsk, a fountain as high as a three-story house broke through the asphalt. It is specified that in three residential buildings as a result of the accident the water was cut off.
