South Korea's opposition intends to charge the country's president with state treason

Representatives of the opposition party may also demand the resignation of the entire Cabinet of Ministers and the dismissal of the head of the Ministry of Defense, the publication added.
President Yun Seok-yol of the Republic of Korea declared martial law in the country on December 3. The reason given was the threat of power paralysis due to attempts to conduct impeachment proceedings. The Ministry of National Defense of the country held a meeting of the chief commanders of the armed forces and instructed to strengthen combat readiness. Later in the day, the South Korean government voted to lift martial law in the country.
