Governor of Kamchatka instructed to dismiss the mayor of Yelizovo due to loss of confidence

Governor of Kamchatka Vladimir Solodov instructed to dismiss the mayor of Yelizovo Artem Gagloshvili due to loss of confidence in connection with receiving a suspended sentence for hooliganism. This was reported on December 4 in the press service of the administration of the head of the region.

"We pay special attention to offenses on the part of officials with public power. On December 3, a court decision was issued against Artem Gagloshvili, the head of the city of Yelizovo. He received a suspended sentence under the article on hooliganism. Obviously, this indicates a loss of trust by an official," Solodov said.

He also called on law enforcement agencies to dismiss the official under the relevant article.

Earlier, on March 22, it became known that in Kamchatka Gagloshvili was detained for beating a man. In the regional Department of the IC RF specified that the incident occurred in the summer of 2023, that is, several months before the appointment of Gagloshvili to the post of head of the city.
