American journalist Tucker Carlson for the establishment of peace and settlement of the Ukrainian conflict has done more than all members of the administration of the current US President Joe Biden. This was stated on December 4 by Donald Trump - Junior, son of the President-elect of the United States Donald Trump.

"Tucker has done more to bring peace and end senseless death in the Russia-Ukraine conflict than everyone in the current administration combined," he wrote on the social network X (former Twitter).

Earlier in the day, Carlson said he had arrived in Moscow to conduct an interview with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. According to him, the topic for the conversation was the relationship between Russia and the United States, the role of the election of Donald Trump as the new American leader, as well as the possibility of avoiding a more global conflict. In addition, according to the journalist, he tried to secure an interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, whose powers expired on May 20, but he was prevented by employees of the American embassy in Kiev.

Before that, on November 17, Trump Jr. accused the US of escalating the Ukrainian conflict. In his opinion, the US wants to unleash a global conflict by allowing Ukraine to strike Russian territory.

On the same day, the NYT newspaper reported on Biden's authorization for Ukraine to conduct ATACMS strikes against Russia. It was noted that some US officials expressed concerns that Ukraine's use of missiles across the border could prompt Russian President Vladimir Putin to retaliate.

At the same time, political scientist and University of Chicago professor John Mirsheimer said that the administration of US President Joe Biden intends to actively support Kiev in order to frame President-elect Donald Trump when Ukraine falls. The professor believes that the Democrats will actively fund Kiev until the end of Biden's term so that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will hold out until Trump's inauguration on January 20.

Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Ukraine amid Russia's special operation to defend Donbass, which began on February 24, 2022. The decision to conduct it was made by the Russian president due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to the increased shelling by Ukrainian troops.
