Artillerymen of the "Vostok" group of troops disrupted the rotation of the AFU in the SSO zone

Artillerymen of the Vostok group of forces have disrupted the rotation of Ukrainian units and also destroyed a hangar with vehicles, a radio-electronic warfare (REB) station and the enemy's temporary deployment points. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 4.

Servicemen of the unit said that fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) often do not even try to camouflage their positions. The reason for this could be insufficient training or attempts by Ukrainian commanders to identify Russian positions, sacrificing their own soldiers.

"Our task is to support the infantry with fire, suppress the enemy, hit targets and generally defend the homeland. We work day and night, we constantly have a man on duty at the gun, we fire on the first command," the gun commander with the call sign Volk told about his work.

He also praised the professionalism of his subordinates and noted that their actions are "honed to perfection" and the work is carried out quickly and accurately. Volk has been serving under contract since 2019, and since 2022 he began to take an even more active part in battles.

"Because I am a patriot of my country and I believe it is my duty to come here", he emphasized.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the calculations of the Akatsiya SAU of the group of troops "West" destroyed a stronghold of the AFU. According to the ministry, the frames of objective control, received from UAVs in real time, allowed to make sure of the destruction of targets. After the task was completed, the artillerymen changed their firing positions to reserve ones in order to replenish the ammunition and exclude retaliatory fire from the enemy.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made in connection with the aggravation of the situation in the region.
