Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office is not dealing with the issue of transferring to Kiev allegedly Russian weapons seized by the Israeli military from Hezbollah and Hamas, Dmitry Gendelman, an adviser to the prime minister, told Izvestia.

"I am not familiar with such a proposal. In any case, the spoils of war seized by the Israel Defense Forces are at the disposal of the military, and their further use will be decided by the relevant structures, not by Foreign Ministry officials or parliamentarians," Gendelman said.

The initiative was put forward by Deputy Foreign Minister Sharen Haskel, but while still in her position as a Knesset deputy. The bill has been introduced in parliament.

"The proposal has been submitted to the Knesset, but there has been no discussion on the matter yet. At the moment, the government has not given an official response to the proposal," a spokesman for Knesset deputy Dana Ilouza, who now oversees the Haskel bill, told Izvestia.
