The Syrian army was able to establish full control over the city of Hama and began cleansing settlements from terrorists. This was reported on December 3 by the country's Defense Ministry on its Facebook page (owned by Meta, recognized as extremist, banned in Russia).

"Our armed forces are on the perimeter of the city and on the front lines," the post said.

The publication also said that the terrorists' reports about militants' infiltration into Sawaiq and Mazarib neighborhoods are invalid.

The Defense Ministry also specified that at the moment work is underway to restore various facilities that were destroyed by terrorist organizations.

Earlier, on December 2, the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) together with the Syrian military destroyed at least 100 militants in a day within the framework of the operation to repel terrorist aggression in Idlib, Hama and Aleppo provinces.

On December 2, Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian said during a telephone conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin that the activation of terrorists in Syria was part of an Israeli and U.S. destabilization plan.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi on November 30 called the activation of terrorists in Syria part of the US plan amid Israel's defeat in Lebanon. In turn, the White House denied its involvement in what is happening. In addition, Britain, the United States, France and Germany called on all parties in Syria to de-escalate.

Before that, on November 29, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a counter-offensive against the positions of militants of the extremist group "Jebhat al-Nusra" (terrorist organization banned in Russia), who captured more than 20 settlements to the north and west of the city of Aleppo, and during the fighting liberated the city of al-Bakum.
