The Russian Defense Ministry reported on the feats of the Russian military in the area of the Strategic Air Defense Forces (SADF)

The Russian Defense Ministry on December 4 reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces in the zone of the special military operation (SMO).

According to the ministry, an assault group under the command of Lieutenant Anton Nesterov, having been tasked to dislodge the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) from tactically significant positions, stealthily moved to the front line. Having studied the enemy positions and terrain conditions, the serviceman indicated the directions of attack to his subordinate personnel. Nesterov's men stealthily bypassed the militants' positions from the flank and, on the commander's signal, went on the offensive, taking advantage of the uneven terrain. Nesterov was one of the first to break into the enemy trenches, where he destroyed a machine-gun point with a grenade, fought a small arms battle and continued to lead his subordinates. The enemy was destroyed in a short time.

Nesterov also organized the equipment of positions for firepower on the most advantageous parts of the terrain. Ukrainian militants made several attempts to dislodge the Russian assault group, but the serviceman of the Russian Armed Forces together with his subordinates held their positions until reinforcements arrived.

In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry noted the feat of Lieutenant Ilya Maltsev, who performed the combat task of organizing stable communication between the command post and the assault units conducting offensive actions.

The enemy, as part of deterring the advance of the Russian attacking units, fired mortars at them, resulting in damage to a repeater installed to increase the range of radio stations. Maltsev, realizing that the lack of communication would make it impossible to quickly coordinate the actions of servicemen in combat, risked his life and headed to the forward positions of Russian troops to restore signal strength. The serviceman, despite constant artillery fire and drone attacks, found the damaged repeater and promptly restored its functionality, after which he reconfigured the network.

Earlier, on December 3, the ministry told about the feat of Staff Sergeant Nikolai Zagranichnov, who carried out defense in one of the important tactical directions as part of a group of military of the Russian Armed Forces. As a result of an enemy attack by artillery fire, the captain of the unit was wounded, but Zagranichnov promptly gave him first aid and evacuated him to a safe area, after which he commanded the unit on his own. The Defense Ministry also noted the merits of Private Andrei Kozlov. He performed the task of organizing stable communication for a unit located in close proximity to the line of contact.

Before that, on December 2, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Russian Armed Forces destroyed AFU pickup trucks in Kharkiv region. The Ukrainian army pickup trucks were detected with the help of a drone. The vehicles were on their way to the positions for the rotation of the AFU personnel. The means of objective control recorded a direct hit by FPV drone calculations on three vehicles.
