A man was detained on charges of preparing an explosion in Tbilisi with Molotov cocktails. This was reported in the Georgian police on December 3.
"D. H., born in 1999, was detained on charges of preparing an explosion <...> Law enforcers initially detained the accused for artificially blocking the roadway during a protest and disobeying a lawful demand of the police. As a result of a personal search, so-called Molotov cocktails were found, the use of which can lead to serious injury or death," the report says.
It is specified that the man could face up to seven years in prison.
The protesters in the center of Tbilisi continue the protest action, burning fires, Izvestia correspondent reported. Law enforcers continue to disperse demonstrators with water cannons.
Protests have been going on in Georgia for several days due to the suspension of negotiations on European integration and the opposition's disagreement with the results of parliamentary elections in the country. The night before, Georgian security forces used tear gas to disperse demonstrators in the center of Tbilisi.
On December 2, an Izvestia correspondent reported that people were once again gathering outside the Georgian Foreign Ministry for a protest rally. According to him, windows in the parliament building do not have time to be replaced after the rallies.
Protesters tried to set fire to the parliament building on November 30 and damaged dozens of offices. Against the backdrop of the situation, the country's Interior Ministry called for children to be removed from the rally of opposition supporters for safety reasons.
