A man died when a munition detonated during road repairs in the DNR

An employee of a road construction company was killed when an explosive object detonated by Ukrainian militants during repair work on the Donetsk-Mariupol highway in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR). This was reported by the head of the region Denis Pushilin on December 3.

"On the highway Donetsk - Mariupol in the area of Elenovsky bridge as a result of detonation of an explosive object during the performance of road repair work killed an employee of a road construction company - a man born in 1978", - he specified in his Telegram-channel.

In addition, according to Pushilin, on the same day in the Nikitovsky district of Gorlovka, a woman born in 1972 was killed when one of the POM-2 anti-personnel mines remotely installed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) exploded. Another woman born in 1986 received moderate injuries as a result of the detonation of a previously unexploded cluster submunition, and doctors are already providing her with all the necessary assistance, the head of the DNR added.

Also during the day, Pushilin continued, five residential houses, a private car and a civilian infrastructure facility (boiler house) in Horlivka were damaged as a result of attacks by the AFU militants. In total, the enemy carried out six armed attacks, firing approximately 10 munitions. The head of the DNR drew attention to the fact that the AFU used 155-millimeter barrel artillery and attack drones during the attacks.

Earlier in the day, the chairman of the government of Kherson region, Andriy Alekseenko, said that a civilian resident was seriously injured as a result of the AFU strike on Novaya Kakhovka. In addition, as a result of a targeted attack on a residential apartment building, six apartments were seriously damaged at once.

On the eve, December 2, seven people were injured due to attacks by Ukrainian drones in Tokmak and Vasilievka in Zaporizhzhya region. Also, the governor of the region Yevgeny Balitsky reported that a drone attacked the administration of Vasilievka, one of the employees was slightly injured.

The AFU has been shelling the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics, as well as Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions on a daily basis amid the special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russia announced on February 24, 2022.
