French President Emmanuel Macron has ruled out the possibility of his resignation from office ahead of a vote of no confidence in the government. This was reported by Agence France-Presse on Tuesday, December 3.

"If I am standing before you, it is because I was elected twice by the French people. I am extremely proud of this and I will honor this trust with all the energy I have to be useful to the country until the last second," the French president told reporters during a visit to Saudi Arabia.

Macron called calls for his resignation a political fiction and reiterated his intention to remain in office until the end of his presidential term in 2027.

On the same day, the leader of the "Stand Up France" party, Nicolas Dupont-Eignan, said in a video on his YouTube channel that Macron had lost credibility and trust as a result of the financial chaos he had caused and his commitment to U.S. President Joe Biden.

On Dec. 2, Jordaan Bardella, head of the Rassemblement Nationale party, promised a vote of no confidence in the French government unless "a miracle happens." He admitted that he did not hope for a miracle after being deliberately ignored by the authorities for months.
