Ilon Musk named the biggest threat to humanity

The biggest threat faced by humanity is the falling birth rate. This was stated on Tuesday, December 3, by American billionaire Ilon Musk on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

"The severe drop in the birth rate is the biggest threat human civilization has faced so far," reads the message, with which Musk commented on the publication with a graph showing that the birth rate around the world has declined since the 1960s.

Earlier, on November 17, Musk said that Europe is dying. So he commented on the publication with low birth rates in the countries of the European Union.

In October, the head of the Italian fertility promotion fund Gigi De Palo said that the country needs "shock therapy" to increase the birth rate. According to the national statistics agency, the birth rate fell by 2.1 percent in the first seven months of 2024, a record low.
