In the Pskov region, more than 50 school classes have been transferred to distance learning in connection with acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI). This was reported to the Pskov Newswire by the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor.
A total of 4017 cases of acute respiratory viral infections were recorded in the region from November 25 to December 1, including 1946 cases in Pskov. The share of children under the age of 14 years at the same time is 63.3%.
"In the structure of circulating viruses prevail respiratory viruses of non-influenza etiology. Cases of influenza are not registered", - emphasize in the department.
Despite this, 52 classes in 27 schools were transferred to distance learning. Also, the educational process is partially suspended in five groups in four kindergartens.
Influenza vaccination campaign continues. As of December 2, almost 263 thousand people were vaccinated in the Pskov Oblast, which is more than 45% of the population of the region.
At the end of November, nutritionist Daria Rusanova listed the products that strengthen immunity and protect against acute respiratory viral infections. The specialist also explained that immunity is directly influenced by the intestinal microbiota: the more diverse the composition of microflora, the better protection against diseases.
