Russians invested RUB 36.5 billion in non-state pension funds (NPFs) in the third quarter of this year, which exceeded the figures of the second quarter by 87%. Most of these new funds - 26.3 billion rubles - were invested by Russians in the new long-term savings program (LSP). This was told to "Izvestia" by analysts of NPF "Dostoinoye Futures", having studied the published summary data from the Bank of Russia on the results of the third quarter of 2024.

In just nine months, Russians have made voluntary contributions to NPFs in the amount of 69.9 billion rubles, of which the majority of the new program of long-term savings - 37.7 billion rubles, within the framework of non-state pension provision Russians have invested 32.2 billion rubles.

Among the leading regions, whose residents are associated with the largest volume of contributions both in the sphere of non-state pensions and PDS: Moscow - 11.4 billion rubles, Moscow Region - 4.4 billion rubles, St. Petersburg - 3.1 billion rubles, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug - 2.3 billion rubles, Krasnoyarsk region - 2.1 billion rubles, Tatarstan - 2.0 billion rubles, Sverdlovsk region and Bashkortostan - 1.8 billion rubles each, Irkutsk region - 1.7 billion rubles, Krasnodar region - 1.6 billion rubles.

"The increase in the volume of contributions is influenced by the increased demand of Russians for the new long-term savings program. For example, only for the last three months from August to October, the growth rate of pension savings transfers to the PDS from month to month amounted to about 30%. Such dynamics analysts attribute to a number of measures that have had a positive effect on the development of PDS: it is an increase in the period of co-financing of contributions by the state from 3 to 10 years, as well as adopted by President Vladimir Putin postponement of the transfer of pension savings in long-term savings until December 31, 2024", - explained analysts NPF.

Earlier, on September 13, it was reported that in January-June 2024, voluntary investments in non-state pension funds amounted to 94.2 billion rubles. This is 1.5 times more compared to the same period of 2023, follows from the calculations of "SberNPF" according to the Central Bank.
