Experts told about the growth of popularity of Russian cities among tourists


Over the year in Russia, tourists' interest in Blagoveshchensk has increased most noticeably: three times more travelers visited the city this fall. This follows from the data of the travel planning service OneTwoTrip, which were reviewed by Izvestia on December 4.
A hotel room in this city in the period from September to November cost guests about Br5 thousand per night.
In addition, twice as often Russians traveled to Kurgan, where the hotel cost an average of Br4,500, and Lipetsk, where you can rent a room for Br5 thousand.
According to the service, a serious increase in demand was observed for hotels in Naberezhnye Chelny (the share increased by 56%; the cost of a room - Br5 thousand per day), Novorossiysk (+55%; Br5 500), Barnaul (+55%; Br4 600), Penza (+51%; Br4 800), Ulyanovsk (+50%; Br5 700), Kirov (+50%; Br5 700) and Orenburg (+50%; Br4 300).

Earlier, November 20, an expert of the Russian Union of Travel Industry on travel aggregators, Valery Britaus, said at a press conference in the MICE "Izvestia" that the most popular countries for Russians for New Year holidays were the Russian Federation, Georgia and Morocco. He noted that closer to the New Year the demand for traveling in Russia will grow. Brithaus also warned that it is not worth booking tours on January 2-3, as there may not be enough hotel rooms.
