Russians have become more likely to buy luxury cars with mileage

The market of luxury used cars in Russia has been growing for the fourth month in a row. In October 2024, Russians bought 238 used cars in this segment, which is 31% more than a year ago, according to the analytical agency Avtostat on December 3. In total, from January to October, the volume of the secondary market of luxury cars amounted to 1,917 units (+3.4%).

Bentley brand (96 units) accounted for 40% of all luxury cars with mileage bought in October. Almost a fifth of the market (19%) was occupied by Maserati brand (46 units), followed by Rolls-Royce (40 units) and Lamborghini (28 units). Ferrari and Aston Martin are next.

The most popular luxury models in October were Bentley Continental GT, Bentley Bentayga, Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Continental Flying Spur and Maserati Levante.

Over half (54%) of luxury cars with mileage in mid-autumn were bought in Moscow. The tenth part of the market was in the Moscow region, followed in the rating by St. Petersburg and Krasnodar Territory.

Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation reported that at the end of January - November 2024, the market in Russia amounted to almost 1.69 million new cars (up to three years), which is 44% more than in the same period last year. The market of new cars of domestic production exceeded 754 thousand units, which is 30% more than the indicators of January - November 2023.
