An expert explained where motorcycles can be ridden in winter

Despite the fact that the motorcycle season in Russia is actually over, the southern regions of the country still have favorable weather for riding a motorcycle. There are several ways to extend the season and send motorcycles to "winterization", Viktor Potapenko, founder of the Motostudy safe driving school, certified BMW Motorrad instructor, told Izvestia.

"One way of transporting a motorcycle over long distances is by train. For example, you can send a motorcycle from Moscow to Sochi on weekdays from Kursk station. To do this, you need to arrive there, draw up the documents, leave the motorcycle in the place of loading, if you want to check the process, and a day later pick up the technique at the terminal of the station in the city of Adler. This is one of the fastest, most convenient and most economical options. For example, delivery by this route will cost approximately 13 thousand rubles, which is significantly cheaper compared to other methods," said Potapenko.

The simplest, but one of the most expensive ways of transportation is paid motorcycle evacuation, in which the vehicle is picked up at a convenient address and delivered to any necessary destination. Many providers of such services work daily and around the clock, have a fleet of vehicles of different capacities, and the delivery network covers hundreds of cities and even other countries, explained the motorcycle expert.

As an alternative, you can use the service of sending a motorcycle by a transportation company. For example, shipping a motorcycle from Moscow to Sochi will take about five days. Logistics companies offer, among other things, urgent express delivery and even air transportation, which is very costly. And the least convenient, but more budget-friendly way - delivery by road or with a trailer to the car. Given the impending frosts in central Russia at the moment this method is no longer quite relevant, but for this purpose you can rent a car trailer and take the motorcycle to the desired region.

"If you are already in another region, and you suddenly have a desire to ride your motorcycle in a new place, it is not necessary to engage in sending the equipment personally. You can ask your acquaintances or relatives, who can hand over the motorcycle with a handwritten power of attorney at the train station with delivery to the city of your physical stay," the specialist added.

November 14, it was reported that from January to October this year in Russia there were 18.3% more accidents caused by motorcyclists (4.9 thousand incidents) than in the same period last year. In ten months, the death rate in such accidents increased by 21.2% (571 dead), the number of injured increased by 18.6% (5.2 thousand people). Among the regions leading in the number of road accidents were Krasnodar Krai and Moscow.
