Putin compared an SVO fighter to Ilya Muromets

Russian President Vladimir Putin has compared a special operation serviceman undergoing rehabilitation and practicing weightlifting to the bogatyr Ilya Muromets. The head of state said this on December 3 at the Center for Innovative Technologies in Orthopedics (CITO) while communicating with wounded soldiers.
One of the fighters shared that after being wounded he started weightlifting and with a weight of 86 kg he lifts 150 kg in the bench press.
"I doubt that Ilya Muromets lifted so much. He was a healthy bogatyr, but it's unlikely that he could lift 150 kg," joked the President.
Earlier, General Director of the Center Viktor Spektor told the head of state about the company's activities. In particular, about the structure of production. Spector noted that at the moment the company is facing the task to gradually move to its digital transformation, but at the moment the creation of prostheses is mainly manual labor.
CITO produces individual rehabilitation devices, including high-tech prostheses and orthopedic devices for lower and upper limbs.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced in February 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the worsening situation in the region.
