UAZ showed a detail of the updated Patriot

The front optics of the updated SUV "UAZ Patriot" for the first time hit the photo. The shots were shared with Izvestia on December 3 by a source close to the Ulyanovsk automobile plant.

The photos show a pre-production headlamp for the restyled Patriot in unassembled form. The fact that we are talking about the Patriot is evidenced by the shape of the headlights, which is slightly different from the lighting optics of the Pro model. The footage captures how the LED turn indicator works in a "ticker" format.

"Work on updating the flagship model is in full swing," said a source at the plant.

Earlier, in October, Izvestia reported that the Ulyanovsk automobile plant will present the updated Patriot in the fourth quarter of next year. The SUV will get a two-liter diesel engine, which is almost identical to the one produced at Sollers' engine plant in Alabuga.

It is expected that also as part of the update, the model will be equipped with a new six-speed manual transmission, LED headlights, modified front panel and center tunnel, as well as a new steering wheel

November 21, it became known that the Ulyanovsk automobile plant has patented a new steering wheel for the SUV "UAZ Patriot". The new steering wheel is truncated in the lower part and has a smaller diameter, thickening in the grip points and airbag.
