BAIC to bring BJ60 frame SUV to Russia

In early 2025, sales of the full-size frame SUV BAIC BJ60 will start in Russia. This is stated in the message of the Russian representative office of the Chinese concern, which was received by "Izvestia" on December 3.

The length of BAIC BJ60 is 5040 mm with a wheelbase of 2820 mm. At the first stage, the model will be offered with a two-liter diesel engine with an output of 163 hp (400 Nm) paired with an eight-speed automatic. Along with the internal combustion engine runs a 14-horsepower electric motor, which acts as a starter to facilitate the engine.

The all-wheel drive system is realized on the principle of Part-Time, there is a reduction gear, as well as additional locking front and rear interwheel differentials. The frame is combined with a fully independent suspension.

BAIC BJ60 will be the second model of off-road series BJ in Russia after the BJ40.

Earlier in the day, it became known that the new Bestune T90 flagship crossover, which will go on sale in Russia, will be offered in three configurations and with a choice of two engines. The T90, along with the updated B70 liftback, will be introduced in Russia on December 10.

Also on Tuesday, it was reported that GAC unveiled a pre-production prototype of the S7 premium crossover at the Guangzhou Motor Show. It became the first car with an intelligent exterior lighting system and the first model of the brand made in the brand's new design style.
