The rehabilitation of five Deer Ponds in Sokolniki Park in Moscow has been completed. This was reported on Tuesday, December 3, by Deputy Mayor of the capital on housing and public utilities and landscaping Pyotr Biryukov.

From the bottom of the reservoirs specialists removed silt deposits, their volume exceeded 1.8 thousand cubic meters, RIAMO specifies. This allowed to increase the maximum depth to the required marks. In addition, specialists renewed the design of the coastal strips over 1.7 km long. Some parts of the shore remained sloping, which is convenient for waterfowl, writes "Moscow 24". There were also arranged 15 zones of bioplato, their total area exceeded 1.5 thousand square meters, there planted about 36 thousand aquatic plants, reports the website kp.ru.

November 26 Biryukov said that the rehabilitation of the Semyonovsky pond was completed in the south-west of Moscow. Specialists of the municipal economy complex cleaned the pond area of 0.2 hectares from silt, repaired the shoreline, restored the work of engineering structures and formed zones of bioplato with a total area of more than 160 square meters. m.

In February, the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin reported that since the beginning of 2011 in Moscow has been rehabilitated 138 water bodies, of which 39 were improved in 2023.
