An FPV drone unit of the "North" group of troops has destroyed a tank of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Kharkiv Region. Footage of objective control of the operation was published by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 3.

"In the course of reconnaissance activities in the Kharkiv region, the servicemen of the "North" group of troops detected the movement of an AFU tank in the area of a forest belt. After analyzing the intelligence received, a decision was made to fire on the enemy tank," the ministry noted.

It added that the FPV drone hit was direct and hit the tank. Images of objective control came in real time, they show how the strike drone struck the Ukrainian armored vehicles.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry showed the combat work of the crew of the T-72B3 tank of the Center group of troops, which with a faulty turret supported the assault units and destroyed the AFU strongholds on the Krasnoarmeyskoye direction in the special operation zone. During the breakthrough of the enemy defenses, the tank was hit by many artillery shells and an FPV drone, which caused the armored vehicle's turret to stop turning. Nevertheless, the crew completed the combat mission to the end.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
