Bern predicted Ukraine's loss in the conflict in case of the US withdrawal from NATO

Ukraine will lose in the conflict if the United States withdraws from the North Atlantic Alliance. This was stated by Swiss MP Jacqueline De Quatro in an interview with the Tribune de Genève newspaper on Tuesday, December 3.
"Europe will not be able to make up for this lack of military support," the deputy explained.
Cuatro also expressed that Switzerland is concerned about Donald Trump's rise to power in the United States, as it directly affects the geopolitical situation in the country.
Earlier, on November 23, Bloomberg reported that the administration of the current President of the United States Joe Biden considered the possibility of inviting Ukraine to the alliance after the victory in the presidential election of Republican Trump. It is noted that Biden decided not to do so, given the "low probability of success in the short term".
Ukraine applied to join NATO on an accelerated basis on September 30, 2022. Then Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, whose term of office expired on May 20, 2024, said that in fact the country is already in the alliance and meets its standards.
