- A doctor pointed out the benefit of ventilating the room to protect against pneumonia

General practitioner Natalya Leontieva has advised to ventilate a room to protect against pneumonia and other respiratory diseases.
In a conversation with RuNews24.Ru on Tuesday, December 3, the specialist noted that airing the premises is an important aspect of maintaining health and preventing various diseases, especially in winter. The doctor explained that in winter people spend a lot of time in closed rooms, where the air becomes dry and saturated with viruses and bacteria. This contributes to an increased risk of infection with dangerous viruses, and can also lead to a severe course of colds.
Ventilation, according to Leontieva, improves air quality, reduces the concentration of viruses and bacteria, and maintains the health of mucous membranes. Thus, the doctor urged to regularly ventilate the room to maintain immunity and reduce the risk of pneumonia and other respiratory diseases.
It is enough to open the windows for 5-15 minutes several times a day. In addition, it is important to monitor ventilation systems to ensure effective circulation of fresh air.
Leontieva warned that pneumonia can be transmitted through the air, and in some cases - even by direct contact with infected objects. Also, to minimize the risk of infection, she urged to dress for the weather, drink hot drinks enriched with vitamins - tea with ginger and lemon.
December 2, immunologist, Candidate of Medical Sciences Nikolai Kryuchkov in a conversation with "Moscow 24" said that to reduce the risk of infection with mycoplasma pneumonia will help ventilation and treatment of hands. He also recalled that usually microplasma pneumonia is accompanied by a slight fever, cough and malaise, notes 360.ru.
On the same day, doctor Ekaterina Demyanovskaya warned that untimely treatment of mycoplasma pneumonia can lead to respiratory complications and damage to other organs, RT writes.
On December 1, Vladislav Zhemchugov, an immunologist, doctor of medical sciences and specialist in particularly dangerous infections, said that Mycoplasma pneumonia is transmitted by airborne droplets, and less often by contact and household contact, i.e. through objects. Therefore, to protect yourself will help to ventilate the premises, notes the site kp.ru. He warned that this disease is characterized by the absence of vivid symptoms. With the classic form of pneumonia, patients have a high fever, cough and headache, while in this case there is no temperature, even coughing is practically absent. It is necessary to consult a doctor if after a week the symptoms of acute respiratory viral infections do not pass, and conduct a diagnosis with the help of CT, writes Life.ru.
In October, Zhemchugov in a conversation with NSN said that mycoplasma pneumonia sharply weakens the immune system and increases the sensitivity of a person to all viruses of acute respiratory viruses, including coronavirus. According to the doctor, a person can become infected only through prolonged contact with a sick person.
On October 23, pediatrician Maryam Sayfulina told "Izvestia" about the risks of pneumonia. According to the specialist, pneumonia often occurs after other diseases, such as acute respiratory viral infections, which lead to a decrease in immunity.
