Danish corporation Carlsberg Group has agreed to sell its shares in Baltika Breweries. This is stated in a release published on December 3 on the website of Carlsberg Group.

The deal is expected to be closed within a few days.

"Carlsberg Group will receive monetary compensation," the release said.

The day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree according to which Baltika shares, which are owned by Carlsberg, were removed from the temporary management of Rosimushchestvo. 98.56% of Baltika, which belonged to Carlsberg Sverige Aktiebolag, 1.35% - Hoppy Union LLC, 0.09% - Carlsberg Deutschland GmbH were excluded from the list of assets, in respect of which temporary management was introduced.

In July 2023, the head of state signed a decree transferring Baltika's foreign stakes to Rosimushchestvo. Later Russian assets of Carlsberg received a new head, who became Taimuraz Bolloyev.

Carlsberg Group produces beer under the brand names Carlsberg, Tuborg, Kronenbourg 1664 and others. The company decided to transfer its business and leave Russia in 2022.
