The total number of content authors allowed to participate in the content monetization program from VK Video reached 81 thousand, VK's press service reported on December 3.

The monetization program for authors of video content was launched in September 2024. According to the first results, since the launch, the average income of authors has increased by 2.5 times.

"Since the launch, the average income of authors in the program has grown 2.5 times. The total number of content authors admitted to the program on the platform reached 81 thousand", - stated in the press service.

In addition, VK noted that the authors increase the volume of downloaded content, the average daily increase in downloads since September reached 20%, the time of viewing video by users increased by 26%.

Authors receive from 50 to 80% of the platform's revenue from displaying ads in videos. The maximum amount paid to a video author for October under the new program exceeded 1 million rubles.

The launch of the content monetization program for video authors of the "VK Video" service became known on September 17. The monetization program works on the Revenue Share model. Only bloggers and content authors with more than 5 thousand subscribers in the community can join the monetization program.

On October 29, the VK Video service launched an updated search algorithm that uses artificial intelligence to improve the search results of authors and their content. Now the icon of the channel, similar in name to the user's request, as well as the content created by this author is automatically raised in the search results.
