Wreaths were laid in honor of the Day of the Unknown Soldier on December 3 in Berlin.

Russian Ambassador to Germany Sergei Nechayev and military attaché Alexei Klimov took part in the wreath-laying ceremony at the Soviet memorial in Tiergarten. German activists also laid flowers.

The Day of the Unknown Soldier is celebrated in Russia annually on December 3. It is established in memory of all defenders of the Motherland who died in the struggle for the freedom of the state and remained nameless.
