A man who dragged a dog tied to a car through the snow was detained in Priamurye region

Law enforcement agencies detained a man in the Amur region, who tied a dog by the neck to his car and dragged it along the road. This was reported by the official representative of the Russian Interior Ministry Irina Volk on December 3.

"Police officers have identified and detained the driver of the vehicle," she wrote in her Telegram-channel.

A criminal case of cruelty to animals under part 1 of article 245 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation was opened against the man.

The same day it was reported that users in social networks published a video of the incident. The footage shows a man dragging an animal through the snow. At first the dog tried to resist, leaning on his paws, but soon gave up.

The owner of the car, in turn, refused to comment on the situation.
