Moscow resident detained for drug production under the guidance of Ukrainians
Law enforcers detained a man who was producing mephedrone in the Moscow region under the guidance of Ukrainian citizens. This was reported in the press service of the FSS of Russia in Moscow and Moscow region on December 3.
It was specified that the 37-year-old man organized an illegal laboratory for the production of the drug on the territory of Egorievsk. Ukrainian curators gave the man money to rent a summer house for these purposes.
"Precursors for synthesizing mephedrone were transferred to the man by means of cache bookmarks in forest areas of the region, information about the location of which he received from Ukrainian handlers. The produced drug was realized in a similar way", - reported in the department.
The man was paid a salary for his activities, while the main income was received by his Ukrainian handlers.
The FSB published a video of searches in the house, where the Russian equipped a drug lab. Law enforcers found and seized 50 kg of mephedrone, 2 thousand liters of precursors, chemical reagents and other equipment.
A criminal case under Part 5 of Article 288.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Illegal production of narcotic drugs on a large scale by a group of persons by prior conspiracy") was opened against the detainee. The man faces from 15 years of imprisonment to life imprisonment.
The defendant pleaded guilty and explained that he came to the curators through his acquaintance from Ukraine, who passed his contact to the organizers of the criminal business.
Earlier, on September 26, in Odintsovo, Moscow region, police detained a transgender man with drugs (the LGBT movement is recognized as extremist in Russia). The drug dealer tried to escape from the police by car, but did not manage to do so. He was taken to the police station, where he admitted that he was on his way to make a bookmark.
