Jaguar has unveiled a conceptual electric car Type 00, which is designed to demonstrate the future direction of the British brand. The carmaker published images of the novelty on December 3.

The presentation of the model took place at the Art Week in Miami. Jaguar Type 00 is a long coupe with 23-inch disks, which at the end of 2025 will be reborn into a four-door production model of the GT class. It will be built on Jaguar's new JEA electric architecture and will be able to travel up to 770 kilometers on a single battery charge. The battery in 15 minutes of charging is able to replenish the electric reserve, which will be enough for 312 km of travel.

Features of the concept car Jaguar Type 00 are a long hood, doors like "butterfly wings", missing glazing of the luggage compartment door, as well as two elevating displays on the front panel and a longitudinal console length of 3.2 meters, which is located between the driver and passenger. The interior features brass, natural travertine and expensive textiles.

In late November, Jaguar presented a global rebranding of the brand, timed to a complete rejection of cars with internal combustion engines and the restart of the model range. Social media users and fans of the brand criticized the new visual style of the brand and its aesthetics. Tesla CEO Ilon Musk reacted to Jaguar's promo video by asking, "Do you sell cars?"

The day before it was reported that in Germany, workers of nine plants of Volkswagen concern, producing cars and components, began a strike on Monday, because of which the assembly lines were stopped. The strike is held in protest against Volkswagen's plans to cut wages by 10%.
