A flight of stairs collapsed in a residential building in Saratov

In Saratov, a stairwell in the entrance of a residential building partially collapsed, a criminal case has been initiated. This was reported on December 3 in the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in the Saratov region.

"The investigative Department for Zavodsky district of the city of Saratov on the results of verification of information placed in the media initiated a criminal case on the fact of rendering services that do not meet safety requirements (part 1 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)", - stated in the message of the Department in its Telegram-channel.

It specified that the span collapsed in the emergency house in the 1st Caucasian dead end.

Investigators find out the circumstances of what happened and work to give a legal assessment of the actions of those responsible for the house.

The regional IC footage from the scene shows that the span collapsed on the first floor above the descent to the basement, which was covered with debris of steps and bricks.

Earlier, on October 3, in the school in the city of Korolev in the Moscow region during classes collapsed suspended ceiling. No casualties were reported. The regional prosecutor's office started checking the incident.
