The Ministry of Industry and Trade reported a 44% year-on-year growth in Russia's car market

According to the results of January-November 2024, the new car market in Russia amounted to almost 1.69 million new cars (up to three years old), which is 44% more than in the same period last year. This is stated in the report of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, which was received by Izvestia on December 3.

The market of new cars of domestic production exceeded 754 thousand units, which is 30% more than the indicators of January-November 2023.

The market volume in the segment of passenger cars amounted to 1.43 million units (+53%), in the segment of light commercial vehicles - 126 thousand units (+37%), in the segment of trucks - 113.5 thousand units (-11%), in the segment of buses - 18.2 thousand units (+17%).

The market of new electric vehicles amounted to 17.8 thousand units (+39%). (+39%), the share of those produced in Russia amounted to 20%. In 2023, the share of such electric cars was higher - 21%.

On the eve in AvtoVAZ reported that in the first 11 months of 2024 in Russia were sold 417.4 thousand passenger and commercial vehicles Lada, which is 30.6% more compared to the same period last year. In November, sales amounted to 39.6 thousand units (+9.8% compared to November last year).
