Father of children killed by dichlofos poisoning near Krasnoyarsk pleaded guilty


The father of four children, who died of dichlofos poisoning in Krasnoyarsk region, was charged, the man pleaded guilty. This was reported on December 3 in the regional investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia.
"As part of the investigation of the criminal case, the 34-year-old father of the dead children was charged with committing a crime under part 3 of article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence") <...> During interrogation, the man pleaded guilty to the crime committed", - stated in the message in the Telegram-channel.
As part of the investigation, the circumstances of the incident were established. Thus, on September 20, the man treated the rooms in the house with insect repellent, but did not follow the recommendations on protective measures and allowed children to eat in the contaminated room. On the morning of September 21, all family members felt a sharp deterioration of health and were hospitalized.
The text of the message indicates that the investigative examination named the cause of death of children as the ingestion of components of the insecticidal agent in the body. Employees of the IC RF continue the investigation.
About the poisoning of a family with four children in the village of Krasnaya Sopka Krasnoyarsk region was reported on September 21. The family sought medical help at the hospital with signs of nausea and vomiting. As a result of a sharp deterioration of health, the minor brother and sister died. Later, on September 22, the third child died, and on the 23rd - the fourth. In the GSU of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region said that at the time of the incident, the mother of the dead children was nine months pregnant.
December 2, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported that the cause of poisoning was the improper use of dichlofos. According to the agency, poisons from dichlophos, which was chaotically sprayed by the head of the family, got on all surfaces of the house and things. According to experts, insecticides on clothes, toys and household items caused the death of the minors.
